Product overview

The DSC 600 provides accurate heat flow data of endothermic and exothermic processes as a function of temperature.

A Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) is a thermal analytical instrument used to measure the heat required to raise the temperature of the sample in a crucible, compared with an empty crucible considered the reference, as a function of time or temperature. The sample and the reference are both kept adjacent to each other and at the same temperature for the complete duration of the measurement.

DSC produces a graph between heat flow (mW) and temperature (°C or K) where endothermic (heat absorbed) and exothermic (heat release) processes can be obtained and analyzed. These
processes can provide a wide knowledge about the sample and its thermal properties & characteristics.

● A reliable and strong cooling system for water, mechanical, or liquid nitrogen (LN2).
● An ultra-light mineral furnace design reduces heat loss and enhances thermal uniformity.
● An optional high-pressure model is available for DSC measurements of up to 1000 psi.
The DSC 600 differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) is tailored for precise heat flow measurements in polymers, pharmaceuticals, and petrochemical materials.
