Hangzhou EXPEC Technology has developed the EXPEC-5210, a Triple Quadrupole LC-MS/MS system integrating liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry technology.
The EXPEC-5210 is a triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometer engineered by Hangzhou EXPEC Technology Co., Ltd., built entirely on independently owned intellectual property. Its development was backed by the national major scientific instrument and equipment development project and represents the outcome of years of sustained research investment in next-generation liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry technology.
The engineering team concentrated on the fundamentals of triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry, working through a series of demanding technical challenges, building a highly stable electrospray ion source, designing an interface for efficient removal of the solvent, providing robust ion transfer through the triple quadrupole, improving the mass analyser itself, and developing the high-speed collision cell along with its radio frequency drive circuitry. The result is an LC-MS/MS instrument built to deliver consistently strong performance.

Environmental sample analysis: Researchers analysed and compared the prevalence of fluorinated compound pollution in a typical city (City A) and a city with an industrial production zone (City B) using the EXPEC-5210 LC-MS/MS system. The results can be used as a basis for future environmental monitoring and remediation.
